After Weeks of Dwayne Johnson Punch-Ups, Henry Cavill Takes a Major Diss at 'Black Adam' Drama Amidst a Healthy Turn in Life

Forever known as the Man of Steel of Hollywood, Henry Cavill has made a comeback in his life with a slew of blockbusters. However, he has not gotten over his past, or so he says. While his latest movies have kept the audience on the edge of their seats, his flagship movies of the past still linger with the British actor. Unlike the usual Cavill who keeps comments on controversies to himself, Guy Ritchie’s new favorite could not help but take a subtle dig at his previous acquaintances, the DC Studios. At least now it is known that not just fans but Cavill himself has never moved on from his Superman snub.

Staying true to his essence of not beefing in Hollywood, Cavill had hardly made a statement on the entire fiasco. Nonetheless, with his new career turn, the British baron is not holding back.

In a recent screening of his latest war flick, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Cavill Brushed off his much-hyped but short-lived Superman return in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. As reported by Insider, the star joked about his ill fate with the post-credit scenes stating, “Turns out, I don't have much luck with post-credit scenes. So, I may give up on those”. Masking off his direct jibe at the DC studios, Cavill also referred to his previous flicks directed by Guy Ritchie, where mentioning him in the post-credits was not met with desired reactions.

For the unversed, Henry Cavill appeared in a post-credit scene for Ritchie’s 2017 action fantasy, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword that turned out to be a major disappointment. However, that is not what Cavill was primarily hinting at. Taking a dig at his 2022 Superman return with The Rock, in Black Adam, Cavill gave a much-unwanted flashback to Hollywood’s most frowned-upon Superman controversy.

When the studio’s then-newly crowned CEO James Gunn removed Cavill from the helm, a significant amount of outcry came from the fans who yearned for a Superman comeback. The 2022 banger, Black Adam was expected to quench the audience’s thirst when the minutes-long Superman cameo promised a full-fledged return in the movie's post-credit scenes. However, with James Gunn’s vision for a new DCEU, came a new devastation for the Superman fans and the Superman itself.

Henry Cavill's iconic role as the last son of Krypton in Black Adam was marked his last when the movie was axed from any further developments. Marked as one of Hollywood's “greatest mysteries” the movie and with it the idea of getting a glimpse of Henry Cavill in the Superman suit now remains a distant dream.
