<p>As the promo of episode 1072 depicts, Luffy is about to achieve a Gear 5 transformation that will help him defeat Kaido. Reimagining it as an episode of the beloved Tom &amp; Jerry cartoon, YouTube creator XLerate took the upcoming moment to a new level. The 28-second-long clip is reminiscent of the quirky style of animation, which was unique to the 90s. This upcoming transformation seen in the clip will mark a <a href="https://www.netflixjunkie.com/anime-news-amidst-netflix-live-action-release-one-piece-anime-will-soon-explore-how-luffys-gear-five-will-change-the-game/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">major upgrade to Luff&#8217;y powers in many ways.</a></p>

<p>The upcoming live adaptation of the anime on Netflix has already received backlash before even launching. Because when the OTT mogul unveiled one of its promotional posters, <a href="https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-fans-blast-netflix-over-new-one-piece-live-action-poster/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">it was deemed “<em>cheap</em>” among other negative comments</a>. It featured Iñaki Godoy and other cast members in a rather unflattering rendition.</p>
