The camaraderie among the Straw Hats of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece sets the anime apart from any other. With a bond as tight as Monkey D. Luffy’s hat’s grip on a windy day, the colorful crew of One Piece has garnered a huge fanbase. From Luffy&#8217;s stretchy antics to Zoro&#8217;s lack of navigation skills and Nami’s short fuse, the show characters always kick off a laughter fest. And the live-action anime based on the manga is all set to bring all this hilarity back into Luffy&#8217;s crew. As fans get ready to set sail with the upcoming live adaptation of One Piece, the crew of the whirlwind show is all aboard.
Obviously, fans have their favorite character but it now seems the cast of the show has their picks too. And revealing which character they adored most, the actors chose the most unexpected ones.

In an interview with the actors behind the main cast, their favorite characters from the anime came to light. <a href="https://comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/one-piece-netflix-live-action-cast-favorite-character/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">As reported by Comicbook</a>, all three chose two lovable soldiers over the protagonists or antagonists! Inaki Godoy, who plays Luffy, went with Koby. But Emily Rudd, who plays Nami, and Mackenyu, who portrays Zoro, chose Helmeppo. As two of the oldest characters from One Piece, Koby and Helmeppo both started as meek little nobodies.

It seems like that cast has done such a good job that Rudd even went as far as to say that the actor behind Helmeppo was “born for the role.”
