As the One Piece live-action anime gears up to launch on Netflix soon, the cast behind the main characters reveal their favorite characters.

Cast of the ‘One Piece’ Live-Action Adaptation Pick Their Favorite Character, and It Is Not Luffy

The camaraderie among the Straw Hats of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece sets the anime
apart from any other. With a bond as tight as Monkey D. Luffy’s hat’s grip on a
windy day, the colorful crew of One Piece has garnered a huge fanbase. From
Luffy’s stretchy antics to Zoro’s lack of navigation skills and Nami’s short
fuse, the show characters always kick off a laughter fest. And the live-action
anime based on the manga is all set to bring all this hilarity back into Luffy’s
crew. As fans get ready to set sail with the upcoming live adaptation of One
Piece, the crew of the whirlwind show is all aboard.

Obviously, fans have their favorite character but it now seems the cast of the
show has their picks too. And revealing which character they adored most, the
actors chose the most unexpected ones.

THESE EARLY CHARACTERS FROM ONE PIECE WIN THE VOTE

In an interview with the actors behind the main cast, their favorite characters
from the anime came to light. As reported by Comicbook
[https://comicbook.com/anime/amp/news/one-piece-netflix-live-action-cast-favorite-character/],
all three chose two lovable soldiers over the protagonists or antagonists! Inaki
Godoy, who plays Luffy, went with Koby. But Emily Rudd, who plays Nami, and
Mackenyu, who portrays Zoro, chose Helmeppo. As two of the oldest characters
from One Piece, Koby and Helmeppo both started as meek little nobodies.

As the story progresses, the weak and cowardly transform into two valiant
military boys. When Netflix announced the supporting cast

behind characters like Koby and Helmeppo last year, fans were content with the
choices. It seems like that cast has done such a good job that Rudd even went as
far as to say that the actor behind Helmeppo was “born for the role.”

Meanwhile, fans who are eager to finally watch the show on August 31st recently
received even more thrilling news. Because the only thing more exciting than
reading manga and watching anime is experiencing it in real life.

WHAT IS THE NEW NETFLIX UPDATE THAT SENT FANS OVER THE MOON?

While some fans are still dismayed by the sad news of a missing main character
in the new series

some are running to find their favorite costumes. And that is because Netflix
recently announced promotional One Piece events occurring in the coming week
before the live-action launch. Spread across the globe, ten lucky cities will
witness the events as the Straw Hats gather to show their love for the
award-winning manga series.
