“You can’t do…” – Emmy Nominated Actress Sydney Sweeney Opens up About the WGA Strike and Fair Pay for Writers

The month of May has been quite dramatic for Hollywood, to say the least. On May
2, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) started their strike after being pushed to
an existential brink. Thousands of writers and creative minds gathered on the
streets to demand higher pay and secured career. Currently, some of the biggest
projects are facing delays and failing to reach a destination. But artists
across the industry and showing their support and Sydney Sweeney
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/sydney-sweeney/] has joined the bandwagon in a
new interview.

We all know that apart from being an incredibly talented and beautiful actor,
Sweeny is a woman of strong opinions. The Euphoria star has never shied away
from speaking the truth of her heart. Whether it is about her struggle behind
the spotlight

or calling out people who underestimate women. Now, seeing how things are
falling apart with the WGA Strike that has been ongoing for more than a month,
she broke her silence.

to talk about her current endeavors in Hollywood. She also took this opportunity
to express her views about the strike. The actress wished luck for the union and
hoped for things to fall into the right place once again. “You can’t do anything
without writers, so everybody deserves to be paid and I hope that we figure
something out fast,” she added.

Actors like her are constantly showing their support for the drive because they
believe this world cannot run without writers. They are one of the key factors
who work hard behind the cameras.

CELEBS WHO ARE PICKETED WITH THE WGA STRIKE LIKE SYDNEY SWEENEY

Several famous television stars have shown up on the streets holding banners
alongside writers in the past weeks. It includes Susan Sarandon, Cynthia Nixon,
Tina Fey, Bob Odenkirk, and Gina Gershon. While one of the faces that attracted
the attention of fans the most was Pete Davidson, the former Saturday Night Live
cast member. The television host lent his support by handing out pizza to
protestors in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood.

As of now, there is no update on when the drive will come to an end. Time will
tell how many shows and movies will get affected by the strike and how many more
celebrities will come forward to show their support.
