Once a television show, always a television show. It was only recently that fans had been handed their gift boxes to fiddle with before having them brutally snatched away. With WrestleMania 41 all set and dusted after being streamed on Netflix, it had been expected that the burst in viewership would not make the ring budge from the platform any longer, and only flourish further. Instead, WWE has once again handed spectators a goodie bag each, but this time, fans do not seem to be as impressed as they would want to be.

The anticipated Saturday Night Main Event had tried fishing as much excitement as it could for the upcoming showdown, but fans have been feeling bereft. Expecting the event to be streaming on Netflix in continuation of the recent developments, they had, in lieu of, left hanging by the cliffside. The Saturday Night Main Event, or the SNME had pointedly been announced to not be streaming on Netflix. While it has been made available on its usual, Peacock, it is otherwise being televised on NBC, leaving Netflix fans feeling like an empty vessel.

The shift of WWE from television to streaming had been taken with a grain of salt, as WrestleMania 41 had not been made entirely available on the streaming platform. Nevertheless, the change had not been uninvited and fanatics had used their tools with much delight just to comfortably tune in. It had further been appreciated how Netflix has not taken entire control over the show's creative essence, letting the show remain as true to its origins as it had turned out to be.

Not another one! Saturday Night Main Event's trip away from Netflix sparks frenzy

It is common knowledge that the main event is held at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, but there are not many fielders found in this day and age. While the showrunners have not made it entirely untouchable by the masses, watchers of the National Broadcasting Channel are not taking well the 12-17 minutes of primetime that are dedicated to advertisement. This, in the wake of the show's disappearance from Netflix, has further caused genuine trouble.

The main SNME has also been made available for free on YouTube, for watchers worldwide.

In the ever-evolving landscape of WWE broadcasting, the transition from traditional television to streaming has been met with both excitement and frustration. While WrestleMania 41’s Netflix debut raised hopes for a seamless future, the return to ad-heavy network TV for Saturday Night Main Event has left fans wanting more. Despite the convenience of YouTube for global audiences, the persistent intrusion of commercials proves that even in the streaming era, the classic television experience—for better or worse—still holds its ground.
