The Official Oscars Watch Party is the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ signature public event, designed for fans to celebrate the Oscars live. It takes place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 3–8 p.m. PT. Attendees can enjoy a welcome reception, photo opportunities on the Walt Disney Company Piazza, and watch the full live telecast of the 98th Academy Awards in the 1,000-seat David Geffen Theater.
Tickets are open to the public and priced at $125 for general admission. They include access to the museum’s main spaces, light hors d’oeuvres from Wolfgang Puck Catering, two drink tickets for the museum’s official wines, and a copy of the book Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Los Angeles, documenting Renzo Piano’s design with never-before-seen images (available while supplies last). The event is all-ages, so families and solo fans alike can join the celebration.
Once inside, the night comes alive with fashion, food, and festive cocktails that make the Oscars feel even more glamorous.
Dress, dine, and delight at the Oscars Watch Party
Creative cocktail attire is encouraged at the Oscars Watch Party, inviting attendees to embrace bold, stylish looks that capture the glamour of Oscar night. Guests are encouraged to mix classic elegance with daring touches, turning the museum into a runway of movie-star-worthy style.
Food and beverages elevate the evening further. General admission guests enjoy light hors d’oeuvres from Wolfgang Puck Catering from 3–4:30 p.m., wine from Clarendelle and Domaine Clarence Dillon from 3–7 p.m., and additional snacks and drinks available for purchase throughout the evening.
For an elevated experience, reservations at Fanny’s Restaurant are available for $255 per person. This Governors Ball-inspired dinner includes a welcome glass of bubbles, passed hors d’oeuvres during the red carpet, and curated savory and dessert stations throughout the telecast. Oscar-themed cocktails are also available at the bar.

Additional details include access to the Walt Disney Company Piazza, Sidney Poitier Grand Lobby, and the Academy Museum Store (3–6:30 p.m.). Tickets do not include reserved seating, and guests are asked to leave large bags at home, as only bags smaller than 16” x 16” are allowed inside or must be checked at the Ted Mann Lobby. Parking information will be shared closer to the event, and accessibility accommodations are available.
