Will Beauty in Black be back with a third season?
Well, the good news is that Netflix has confirmed that Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black will be getting a Season 3, but the sad part is that it is also going to be the end of Kimmie’s story. The streamer announced the final season even before the release of the second part of the second season.
Kimmie's journey so far has been nothing but extraordinary, from being a stripper in a Chicago strip club in Season 1 to now being a chief operating officer of the hair care conglomerate Beauty in Black in Season 2. From the mean streets of Chicago to the top table of a cosmetic giant, Kimmie has fought hard, and her survival story is now set to culminate in the already announced final season.
A lot has happened in the second season, with shifting alliances to true motivations coming to the surface, everything is unravelling at a frightening speed. It all comes down to one final season to tie everything together.
What might transpire in Season 3?
As Taylor Polidore Williams hinted, Kimmie will now fully tap into her powers as the chief operating officer and will be getting adequate support in the third season. The last six episodes address the topic of whether the former dancer can sustain her newfound authority.
In the words of Williams, who plays Kimmie, the final season of Beauty in Black "will be worth it," as she promised during a chat with Tudum. The actor claims that by the end of Season 2, the entire power dynamic will change. In actuality, Kimmie stops trying to survive and begins to enjoy the game in Part 2. With this renewed attitude, now everyone in the Bellarie family is in Kimmie's crosshairs.
