green patch around him brought a halt to the movie’s shooting, as Smith sat with
an umbrella devouring the beauty of it all.

He can be heard saying, “I love the rain. I love how it makes everything stop.”
He went on to find a moment for his character with an exposition: “In the middle
of all of all the hell, he just finds a moment of the beauty of God in the

frees himself from a slave plantation and his journey of hardships thereon.
