In 2026, award-winning Stained Glass Productions released the 22-episode series The Polygamist for Netflix, based on Sue Nyathi's well-known book. The show, which debuted on June 12, centers on Jonasi Gomora, a self-made CEO whose meticulously constructed company starts to fall apart as the fallout from his own decisions catches up with him, revealing the emotional fault lines between power, marriage, and desire.

Tension is instantly created when Matipa (Kwanele Mthethwa), one of the ladies in Jonasi's chaotic personal life, enters the narrative. Matipa becomes a part of a larger narrative about love, ambition, treachery, and survival as the show progresses. The Netflix series promises to be a must-watch, mostly because of Mthethwa’s performance and also for its gripping narrative.
