Just a few days ago, Netflix released the first trailer of Bridgerton Season 4, which has already pulled in new and old viewers. This upcoming season is divided into two parts, with Part 1 scheduled to premiere on January 29. Part 1 will follow the story of the second-eldest Bridgerton, Benedict Bridgerton, and introduce a new character, Sophie, across four episodes.

Part 2, arriving on February 26, will seemingly conclude the story. As with most Netflix releases, fans can expect the episodes to drop at 12:00 AM PT.

Apart from the standard time, there is also a special opportunity for fans to watch the first episode early. The streaming giant is hosting a digital premiere masquerade on January 14. And to attend, fans must RSVP on Netflix’s Tudum platform by January 13 at 9:30 PM PT (12:30 AM ET / 6:30 AM CET). This live stream will have pre-show games, giveaways, cast interviews, a special performance, and the premiere of Episode 1 itself.

Now, while fans are familiar with the character Benedict Bridgerton, there are whispers about the new character, Sophie Baek, and the plot of season 4.

What is the plot of season 4?

Season 3 focused on the story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope, as well as the mystery surrounding Lady Whistledown. As for Season 4, Netflix and the trailer have already confirmed that it will turn to Benedict Bridgerton, who had previously loathed the idea of settling down. Alongside him, a new character, Sophie, has also been introduced to the viewers.

Now, the story of season 4, which seems to be loosely based on Quinn’s book An Offer From a Gentleman, appears to be a Cinderella-like tale. Sophie Beckett, who lives as a maid to her stepmother and stepsisters, eventually meets Benedict Bridgerton at the Bridgerton masquerade ball. However, the Netflix series might have more changes to this story, and to find out more, viewers will have to wait until January 29.

Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie’s story will officially begin on January 29, and if the fans are lucky, they will get to watch it early.
