Over the years, fans have witnessed a plethora of films make their way to the screens. However, only a handful have had an impact like the James Bond film series. The 007 series carved out a niche for itself and became widely popular among the masses. While the movie has always been a fan favorite film, The Terminator fame James Cameron feels otherwise. The director is not a fan of the movie and feels the film is rotten to its core. Owing to that, Cameron decided to take the concept and mold it to a different path alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

As we all know, James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger are one of the most popular director-actor duos in Hollywood. And interestingly, the duo’s popular film True Lies has a very peculiar backstory. Schwarzenegger watched a French action spy comedy film La Totale! and after being inspired by that, the Austrian Oak approached Cameron who also liked the idea of the movie. Surprising as it sounds, the movie is actually a Bond film but with a different concept. As reported by Yahoo, Cameron revealed in 2019, “When I watched it, I got it.” Furthermore, Cameron also gave some insight into how Schwarzenegger helped him further with the idea of the movie.
