June is arriving on Netflix with quite the double feature: beloved classics like Little Miss Sunshine and Rocky are stepping into the spotlight alongside fresh additions such as Office Romance. The momentum comes after a remarkably strong May, which delivered buzzy originals including Remarkably Bright Creatures, Nemesis, The Boroughs, and My Royal Nemesis. Even the library lineup packed a punch, with favorites like Burn After Reading and Den of Thieves expanding the catalog.

Determined not to lose that momentum, Netflix has stocked June with an appealing blend of nostalgic crowd-pleasers and brand-new releases ready to claim the conversation.

1. Poor Things

Arriving on Netflix on June 7, Poor Things is the kind of addition that immediately jumps to the top of the watchlist. Yorgos Lanthimos’ Frankenstein-meets-feminist-odyssey follows Bella Baxter's extraordinary journey from childlike curiosity to fearless self-discovery. Strange, hilarious, and visually dazzling, it is impossible to look away from. The acclaim speaks for itself. After winning the Venice Golden Lion, the fantasy drama went on to collect four Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Emma Stone.

While Poor Things is one of the late additions to Netflix, the others will enter the streaming platform from June 1 itself.

2. The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski is the perfect excuse to revisit one of the most beloved cult comedies ever made. The Coen Brothers cult classic follows Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, whose quest to replace a ruined rug spirals into a delightfully absurd web of kidnappings, mistaken identities, and increasingly bizarre encounters. The Dude abides, and audiences have been happily abiding with him ever since.

3. Little Miss Sunshine

Little Miss Sunshine remains one of the best indie comedies ever made. The road-trip favorite follows young Olive Hoover and her wonderfully chaotic family as they cram into a battered yellow Volkswagen bus and set off for a California beauty pageant. The film is genuinely moving and hilarious in equal measure. Directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris find comedy in every setback, from the van's mechanical disasters to the family's endless arguments, while never losing sight of the emotional stakes.

The unforgettable pageant finale transforms the story into a joyous celebration of individuality, making it a must watch this June.

4. Rocky

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Rocky remains the gold standard of sports dramas. The original is still the best. A legitimate masterpiece of underdog storytelling, it follows small-time Philadelphia boxer Rocky Balboa as he receives an improbable shot at heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. The stakes feel personal rather than spectacular.

5. Muriel's Wedding

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Muriel's Wedding is a genuinely great film with a career-making Toni Collette performance. The Australian comedy-drama follows Muriel Heslop, an awkward dreamer convinced that marriage will solve every problem in her life, sending her on a journey from Porpoise Spit to Sydney. What begins as an offbeat comedy gradually reveals surprising emotional depth. Director P. J. Hogan uses Muriel's wedding obsession to explore loneliness, self-worth, and the pressure of social expectations.

6. Four Weddings and a Funeral

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Four Weddings and a Funeral remains one of the defining romantic comedies of its era. Endlessly charming and anchored by Hugh Grant at his peak, the film follows the commitment-phobic Charles as he repeatedly crosses paths with the enigmatic Carrie at a series of weddings and one funeral, forcing him to confront his feelings about love and commitment. Richard Curtis' sparkling script balances sharp humor with genuine emotion, while the ensemble's warmth and chemistry ensure this beloved classic still feels fresh decades later.

7. Out of Africa

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Out of Africa remains one of Hollywood's grandest romantic epics. Sweeping, gorgeous, and deeply felt, the film follows Karen Blixen's journey. It follows her journey from an unhappy marriage in colonial Kenya to a transformative romance with the free-spirited Denys Finch Hatton. Winner of seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this is a timeless classic that deserves a place on every watchlist.

8. Inside Man

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Inside Man remains one of the smartest and most entertaining heist thrillers of the century. Spike Lee's slickest mainstream thriller follows a meticulously planned bank robbery that gradually reveals itself to be something far more complex. As Detective Keith Frazier attempts to unravel the scheme, a web of secrets, corruption, and hidden motives begins to emerge. Anchored by Clive Owen and Denzel Washington at their coolest, the film delivers a tense, endlessly engaging battle of wits that keeps audiences guessing until the very end.

9. Creed

Coming to Netflix on June 1, Creed stands as the best Rocky sequel by a wide margin. Ryan Coogler revitalized the franchise brilliantly, introducing a new generation to the world of Apollo Creed's son, Adonis, while honoring everything that made the original films beloved.

As Adonis seeks guidance from an aging Rocky Balboa, the story becomes as much about legacy and mentorship as it is about boxing. Elevated by Michael B. Jordan's star-making turn and Sylvester Stallone's deeply moving performance, this modern sports drama hits with both emotional and cinematic force.

10. Office Romance

Premiering on Netflix in June, Office Romance is the wildcard of the month's lineup. Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein play fiercely competitive executives whose secret workplace relationship threatens to derail both their careers and their carefully maintained rivalries. Co-written by Goldstein, who specifically wrote the script for Lopez, whose sharp comedic instincts helped make Ted Lasso a phenomenon, the romantic comedy arrives with genuine promise. If the classics provide the nostalgia this month, Office Romance may just become the fresh crowd-pleaser that keeps the conversation going.
