While forgery is one of the many ills of the dark illegal world, not everyone chooses to do it willingly. Our story hero, Adam, also stumbled on this unholy path owing to some unfortunate circumstances. A counterfeit artist who is also a single father, Adam is forced to work with his ex-lover to craft the perfect $100 bill, all to save his dying daughter. In a race against time, Adam turns back to his lover Yulia, and their collaboration becomes a volatile mix of unresolved emotions.
The former couple harbors some hidden agendas, and there is enough tension to melt down the room. As Yulia seeks an escape from the shadows of her past, Adam is running behind on the clock to save the person who is most important to him in this whole world, and together they navigate the ruthless criminal underworld. However, Franklin is the second Netflix second-language addition for the day on the platform.
The first being Secrets We Keep, a Nordic drama about a high-profile society and a mysterious disappearance within it.
Established chemistry of the leads who are also former co-stars
This Lebanese six-part series has an all-Lebanese cast starring Mohamad Al-Ahmand, Danielle Rahme, Tony Issa, Fayez Kazak, Georges Chalhoub, Youssef Haddad, Pierre Dagher, Wissam Saliba, Samara Nohra, Sandybelle Khachab, Carla Kishishian, and others. The movie has already created a stir back in their home country, as this is Rahme and Ahmad’s second on-screen collaboration, after captivating audiences with their complex, emotionally charged relationship in Till Death (Lel Maout).

With the Arabic-language series, Franklin, the duo is set to get more international exposure as they embody Adam and Yulia, former lovers who must team up in a high-stakes scheme while dealing with unresolved feelings.
