Netflix's thriller canon of ghost-tinged shadows and whispered mysteries prepares to welcome yet another masterpiece, which promises to petrify audiences with its shocking twists and turns. Baramulla emerges as a gust of cold wind down the spine, integrating political unrest with spectral anxiety. Siege of a remote Kashmiri town, not so much by human cruelty as by what cannot be explained, a detective's footsteps resound along silent corridors, and disappearing children.

Baramulla rises from the ashes of humans' deepest fears, which is not otherworldly or foreign but comes from one's own darkness. Attempting to traverse a gamut of emotional and psychological ridges of fear, Ghoul fame Manav Kaul stars as a no-nonsense detective in the lead role, playing the character of DSP Ridwaan Shafi Sayyed. The main cast also includes Bhasha Sumbli (Chhapaak), Arista Mehta (War 2), and Rohaan Singh (Manikarnika) in pivotal roles.
