The Letters and their meanings for each character
The teaser had a ‘welcome feast’ theme, where the names of each character were written on different items on the dinner table. But the discourse everybody is talking about arose from the letters mentioned on each character’s name card. Different sets of characters were assigned different alphabets, leading observant fans to think hard about the hidden meaning behind this.
Here’s the possible meaning behind the letters based on the characters they are assigned to:
- A - The letter most probably stands for the Addams family, as it appeared only with the names of Wednesday, Morticia & Gomez, Pugsley, Grandmama, Thing, and Uncle Fester.
- F - It appeared on Grandma and Ophelia’s name cards and might be used to denote their maiden name Frump.
- N - This might stand for Nevermore Academy due to its association with Bianca, Ajax, Eugene, Agnes, Enid, and Capri’s names.
- B - There is a lot of debate going around the meaning behind this letter since it features with the names of new characters like Tabitha, Cyrus, Daisy, and Atticus. Some feel that it might be the new antagonist group from a rival outcast school. While some speculate, they might be a part of the Balthazar family.
- Sheriff Star - The star clearly means law enforcement, and it features on Santiago’s card.
All these are mere guesswork of dedicated fans and should only be taken as a speculation. The exact meaning behind the letters will only be revealed when the show finally arrives on Netflix.
Apart from the letter mystery and hidden Wednesday Season 3 theories, fans were pretty ecstatic about finally finding out who plays who.
