Kennedy draws from historian Fredrik Logevall's acclaimed biography JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, reimagining the Kennedy clan's formative years as a riveting family epic. Rather than zeroing in on White House glamour, the series transports viewers to the 1930s, capturing the moment Joe Kennedy Sr. and Rose propel their nine children from relative obscurity into the national spotlight.

Showrunner Sam Shaw crafts a narrative rich with personal drama, tracing the ambitions, heartbreaks, and scandals that forged an enduring American legend. At its core, Kennedy unravels the passions, conflicts, and devastating losses that defined the family, showing how they reshaped politics and pop culture.
