After starring in the show for more than two seasons, the 40-year-old actor has finally bid adieu to the series for good. Although he has been replaced by Liam Hemsworth, he will always be a fan favorite as Geralt of Rivia. And as the Australian actor has taken over the show, he is planning to stay there for a longer time.</p>
<p style="color: #252525;">Ahead of the third season&#8217;s release, the making of the fifth is confirmed. And the show&#8217;s casting director Sophie Holland has confirmed the news. <a href="https://deadline.com/2023/05/witcher-wednesday-jenna-ortega-self-tape-casting-agent-director-sophie-holland-schism-1235380317/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">In a recent interview with Deadline</a>, she said, <em style="color: #252525;">&#8220;&#8230;.there will be a short gap then we go straight into season five.&#8221; </em>Holland also confirmed that filming for the fourth season has begun with <em>The Hunger Games </em>actor.</p>

<p style="color: #252525;">The casting director mostly talked about the upcoming season of the show and her experience with the recently shot season. But it was obvious that the interviewer brought Cavill into the discussion because of his attachment to the show. Holland was questioned about whether or not she would justify the reason behind Cavill&#8217;s exit.</p>
<p style="color: #252525;">To which she said that it would not be appropriate for her to comment on that subject. However, she said that she would love to comment on it, but she won&#8217;t. But she did say that she is hopeful for Liam Hemsworth since he also has a huge fanbase.
