Ever since Netflix brought Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher novels to life, the world has been hooked on watching how the stories of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, and Ciri have unfolded. With Henry Cavill in the lead for the last three seasons, the show has ended up becoming a fan favorite. However, after the actor’s departure following the third season, fans have been on the fence about the continuation of the show.

While Liam Hemsworth has been set to take on the role of the beloved sword-wielding character, the series has had another new cast addition. However, this time, the creators of the show have chosen another trending show's star.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that Netflix's The Witcher had welcomed another new face shortly after announcing the addition of three other stars. Apart from bringing in Sharlto Copley, Danny Woodburn, and even James Purefoy just days ago, the producer of the show, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich brought in 3 Body Problem's English star, Edmund Kingsley into the fray for season 4. While the roles of the other three actors had been revealed, Kingsley's addition brought no other details with it.

With the actor's addition, it looks like the show could be trying to add more character to the story to fill the void left by Henry Cavill's departure. After all, with fans being less than impressed with the third season of the show, this could be their last chance to solidify their fan base. Although the addition of Liam Hemsworth still has fans on the fence, the show seems to be trying to hype up the upcoming season by bringing in more fan-favorite characters from the books and games.

In fact, apart from The Witcher's latest cast additions, the show also chose to bring in another popular star at the beginning of the year to intrigue fans about the upcoming season.

After Henry Cavill left The Witcher franchise last year, fans were not too happy with the decision to continue the series with Liam Hemsworth. Although the show had subtly switched its focus onto Freya Allan's Ciri and her adventurous storyline, the series also chose to bring in Laurence Fishburne to keep their fans happy. The beloved star was said to be taking on the role of the Higher Vampire, Regis.

While Fishburne seemed to be looking forward to exploring the world of The Witcher, fans were not too convinced about the whole thing. However, with Allan hyping up her character's development arc and more cast members being added into the fray, fans just might get a better season than they are expecting.
