‘The Witcher’ Fans Voice Contempt as the Show Shares an Iconic Scene With Henry Cavill and Antagonist on Social Media

Since the announcement of Henry Cavill’s
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/] departure from The Witcher
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-witcher/], the show has been receiving
significant criticism. Fans are finding it hard to come to terms with the news
of Liam Hemsworth potentially taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia as Cavill’s
replacement. The Instagram page of The Witcher recently dropped another epic
scene, showcasing Cavill in intense combat with the antagonist. The post
highlights the makers’ attempt to stay relevant and keep their fans engaged.
However, despite their efforts, fans remain disappointed.

In the post, fans witnessed Geralt and Vilgefortz, two formidable rivals,
engaging in a thrilling battle. Vilgefortz, played by Mahesh Jadu, is a
charismatic mage with a military past, known for his tall and mysterious
appearance. In season 1, he conspired with Duny and shared a prophecy that led
to the Usurper’s overthrow. Alongside Tissaia de Vries, his charm attracted the
right allies and followers, making him a powerful force in the series. The fight
sequence with Cavill was incredibly engaging and exciting, leading fans to
criticize the decision to replace him with Hemsworth even further.
