The couple first met when Hayley was nannying Blake's stepbrothers, and their romance began after they reconnected at a family wine night. Now, Blake believes marriage is the next step in their relationship.

However, Hayley says she still needs time to heal from feeling emotionally neglected earlier in the relationship and wants Blake to open up emotionally to her. They have been together for 2 years. While Blake's relationship motto is, "Stop trying to change the person you fell in love with," Hayley believes that "Love is not enough to build a healthy marriage."

Ashley and Killian

Ashley, now 26 years old, met Killian as a teenager on rival competitive cheerleading teams and later reunited during her girls' trip to Miami. While she is a content creator, Killian, who is 29 years old, is a Real estate agent. After four years together, the two share a house and two Pomeranians. Ashley wants to get married, but she also wants Killian to have her father's blessing before they get engaged.

Although Killian previously got her father's approval, it was later withdrawn after a family altercation. This leaves the couple in a bizarre situation. While they wish to be together, Killian is seeking their family’s approval before stepping into marriage.

Casey and David

The 34-year-old Casey met David after he slid into her DMs on social media, and they have been together ever since. Both Casey and David draw inspiration from their grandparents' marriages and hope to build a similarly strong partnership. Casey is ready to start a marriage.

And while David, who is committed to Casey and has immense love for her, fears fully investing in a relationship, only to be abandoned in the future. While Casey is an entrepreneur, David is a pro basketball player and businessman, and they have been together for 5 years. They also co-own a drug-testing clinic.

Monica and Luke

Monica and Luke met at the age of 14 while growing up in the same neighborhood and were each other's crushes. Their childhood friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship after the pandemic, and they continue to love and support one another. While Luke believes marriage should come first and that they can achieve other life milestones together as a couple, Monica feels they are not yet ready to take that next step.

She loves Luke but believes they need to reach important personal and financial goals before getting engaged. Luke, 30, works as a restaurant manager while studying to become a firefighter, while 28-year-old Monica is the Head of Operations and Retail for a swimwear brand. They have been together for 5 years.

Jessica Grace and Edris

The 35-year-old Jessica Grace is a bilingual real estate agent and former Charlotte Hornets NBA dancer who is ready to settle down and get married. She values teamwork in a relationship and considers selfishness her biggest deal-breaker in a partner. She met her 38-year-old partner, Edris, in a hotel lobby after making the first move, while he invited her to spend the Fourth of July with him before they moved in together just a few months later.

The couple has been together for over two years, and both want children, but Jessica believes marriage should come before starting a family. Meanwhile, Edris says their biggest challenge has been their differing views on boundaries and emotional safety in a relationship. Both hope the experiment will give them clarity about their relationship and whether they are ready for marriage.

Alex and Jebin

The 23-year-old hairstylist Alex first met Jebin while working at a grocery store in Chicago, where the two instantly formed a connection. Jebin, who worked as a cashier at the time, is now a hedge fund manager. Confident about what she wants, Alex has made it clear that Jebin must propose now or she will move on.

The couple has been together for six years and has never questioned their love for each other. However, religion has remained a major issue in their relationship. Alex says religion is important to her, while Jebin reveals that his parents do not support the relationship because Alex is not of Indian descent, leaving him torn between his family and his partner.

The experiment will see the couple live together for the first time, while Jebin, 23, must make a decision whether he is ready for marriage before Alex walks away. Similar tensions exist for the other five couples, who enter the experiment hoping to gain clarity about their relationships. By the end, each couple must decide whether they are ready to build a future together through marriage.
