Netflix has finally pressed play on the comeback fans have been waiting for, and somehow, the lads are still causing trouble. Filming for The Inbetweeners 3 has officially started, while Netflix has already dropped a teaser. With the last season arriving in the good old 2014, seeing this news in 2026 is enough to make nostalgia hit harder than Will McKenzie’s misery.

Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas are bringing the core four back, while that unforgiving British 2000s aesthetic threatens a glorious comeback too.

Netflix teases The Inbetweeners 3

The Inbetweeners 3 teaser, released on Netflix's UK and Ireland social media accounts, wastes absolutely no time proving that Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas are returning to their favorite pastime: making terrible decisions. The 40-second clip opens inside a dusty storage unit, where the four lads emerge like they have been trapped there since The Inbetweeners Movie. Naturally, the Fiat is waiting.

And not just any Fiat: Simon’s battered 1996 Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii edition is back, mismatched red door and all. The little disaster machine famously ended up submerged in a lake during the television series, making its resurrection almost as impressive as the lads surviving their trips to Crete and Australia. Clearly, nobody told Simon to upgrade.

The teaser, Netflix's UK and Ireland social media accounts, then delivers precisely the sort of mechanical humiliation that belongs to The Inbetweeners universe. Simon climbs inside, turns the ignition, and receives nothing but sputters and failure while the others watch. Eventually, the Fiat coughs itself awake and drives off, leaving one final message behind: a dusty rear window scratched with the number “3.”

As Mark Wahlberg signs up for Netflix’s upcoming action thriller, one has to wonder if The Inbetweeners gang will be back too.

Is everyone from The Inbetweeners gang coming back?

Any lingering fears of a younger cast taking over can be shoved straight into the bin, because the original four are officially back. Simon Bird returns as Will McKenzie, James Buckley as Jay Cartwright, Blake Harrison as Neil Sutherland, and Joe Thomas as Simon Cooper. In other words, nobody has escaped their teenage disasters quite yet.

Better still, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are returning to write and direct, bringing the original creative troublemakers back into the fold. The pair have described reuniting with their old friends as “super fun,” while promising to work hard on the new film. With the gang and creators reunited, The Inbetweeners really is coming back.
