Taylor Sheridan has continued to expand his television universe with new shows and spin-offs. From Yellowstone and its prequels and sequels to other hit series such as Tulsa King and Landman, Sheridan’s shows have pulled in viewers with their gripping drama, scandals, shocking twists and turns, and intense action. Now, a small piece of his expanding universe is heading to Netflix.

The streaming platform is set to welcome one of the hit shows from Sheridan’s universe.

Netflix had previously announced that it would bring Taylor Sheridan’s series, Mayor of Kingstown, to its platform. The addition comes as part of the streaming giant’s licensing deal with Paramount, and Netflix has set October 5, 2026, as the release date for the show. The series, which premiered in 2021, has run for four seasons, with a fifth season already confirmed.

So, all four seasons of the show will be available to stream on Netflix. The series follows the McLusky family, who serve as power brokers in a fictional Michigan town, with Jeremy Renner starring as Michael McLusky. Co-created by Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, the show also stars Dillon, Dianne Wiest, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, and Derek Webster. It is one of the most popular shows from Sheridan's universe. As part of its deal with Paramount, Netflix is also set to bring several other shows to the platform, including SEAL Team, Watson, Matlock, and The King of Queens.

For Mayor of Kingstown fans who have already caught up with the drama across the first four seasons of the show, attention will now turn to the development and release of Season 5.

Paramount previously announced in January that Mayor of Kingstown had been greenlit for Season 5. As per reports, the cast and crew began production in March 2026 and have already wrapped up in July of this year. Although there is no confirmed release date for the show, it could arrive in late 2026 or sometime in 2027, exclusively on Paramount+.

The new season will focus on a new character who threatens to reveal Mike’s secrets and disrupt the delicate balance in Kingstown. This will be the show’s fifth and final season from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. As Netflix welcomes Mayor of Kingstown, both new and longtime fans will have a new way to revisit the crime drama while waiting for the series’ fifth and final season.
