'Sullivan’s Crossing' Season 4 on Netflix: Official Release Date and Major Plot Twist Revealed

Sullivan's Crossing proved to be a dark horse for Netflix last summer despite being a smash hit for The CW. The show managed to outperform big titles like Agatha Christie's Seven Dials, Ghosts, Stranger Things, and Bones to reach No. 3 on the worldwide streaming rankings in early February 2026. The thunderous success of the romance drama led to the renewal of the show for a fourth season, which was quite inevitable after an astounding 3 million views in its first week on the platform.
The show is now ready with its new season, building on Maggie Sullivan’s story.
We get a glimpse of how Maggie's life will take a turn with an unexpected plot twist in a recently released trailer, along with the exact date of the new pivot's release.

When will the fourth season of Sullivan’s Crossing be released?
The first of ten episodes of Sullivan's Crossing season 4 will debut on Monday, April 20, at 8 p.m. EST, as announced by The CW. Additionally, a trailer for the upcoming season was aired by the network, hinting at the most recent development in Maggie's plot. There were also some new faces along with many old ones in the trailer. Additionally, the latest season has also premiered on CTV on March 22 for the Canadian viewers.
However, Netflix has not confirmed yet whether it will release season 4 or not. As reported by What's on Netflix earlier this month, while initially exclusive to Netflix, the latest season will only release on the streaming giant if the license is extended to it at all, due to the massive international rollout.
The trailer gives the audience a taste of the drama and turbulent interpersonal interactions that will be on a heavier side this time in Season 4. In the video, we see Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Cal (Chad Michael Murray) finally intensifying their romance as the former's voiceover asks his partner if she is certain that she wants to be in a relationship with him.
However, everything is bound to start spiraling down when Maggie's ex-husband, Liam (Marcus Rosner), arrives in town just as she is taking a big step toward a new life with Cal. Cal begins to question everything when Liam refers to himself as her husband rather than her ex, making everything even worse and sowing the seeds of distrust between the couple.
This plot twist has given viewers more than enough to look forward to in the show, considering how it has carried the story so far.
Maggie’s story so far in Sullivan’s Crossing
Sullivan's Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan, a successful neurosurgeon whose life becomes complicated after a negligence lawsuit following a patient’s death. To make matters worse, there is also a business scandal involving her partner. She is forced to flee back to her homeland of Nova Scotia in order to get away from her problems and mend her connection with her father, Sully (Scott Patterson).
However, her luck changes when she finds love and hope in local handyman Cal Jones, who helps her with her personal and professional troubles. But, bad luck knocks again, and she suffers a miscarriage due to a diner fire. This caused her to finally break things off with her ex, Andrew (Allan Hawco), for good. She then fully commits to a life in Sullivan’s Crossing with Cal and her father.
