Business falling out, cancelled shows, and social media blockout - nothing seems to have dampened the ties between the Sussexes and Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. Just a month back, there were rumors of a feud brewing between Meghan Markle and Netflix stemming from a number of rising decisions and tensions.

Markle was originally scheduled to produce many shows for Netflix, but things have subsequently worsened. Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos unfollowed Markle and her lifestyle business, As Ever on Instagram, signifying a total breakdown in their working relationship. But a recent appearance has quashed all those rumors.

Recently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted posing with the Netflix CEO at his Montecito Bash.

The Sussexes’ glamorous appearance at the Montecito event

At a Friday night event, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, attended Netflix's BEEF Season 2 Montecito Tastemaker, among other bigwigs like Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Oscar Isaac, and Carey Mulligan. However, in an event dedicated to the Netflix show, it was the Sussexes who stole the show.

Markle paired Heidi Merrick's chartreuse "Gale" gown with Jimmy Choo strappy heels to create a chic look. While Prince Harry was dressed in a white button-down shirt and a basic blue suit. The couple posed with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, throughout the evening. The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex looked close to Nicole Avant, even holding hands while taking pictures.

This behavior caught everyone by surprise, especially after Meghan Markle and Netflix's likely scuffle. The warm exchange between the Sussexes and the Netflix power couple suggests that things are going back to the way they were, at least for now. There may be a slight chance that this might result in a possible future collaboration.

The timing of this unexpected appearance also strikingly coincides with Prince Harry’s recent legal trouble.

Prince Harry manages to land in yet another bind

The Sussexes' date night coincided with Page Six's revelation that Prince Harry had been sued for libel and slander by Sentebale, his former charity, after an internal conflict with the chairperson of the organization. Additionally, they also sued Mark Dyer, a trustee of Sentebale, who was sued prior to Harry and Dr. Sophie Chandauka's falling out.

Sentebale's executive director and board of trustees affirmed that the organization had initiated legal proceedings against Prince Harry and Dyer due to a coordinated adverse media campaign that started in March 2025. Nevertheless, the warm meet and greet with the Netflix CEO and his wife must be a fresh breath of air for the Sussexes amid all this chaos.
