After nearly a decade of Demogorgons, heartbreak, and Hawkins chaos, Stranger Things officially wrapped up its run in December. But instead of a victory lap, the final season has found itself surrounded by heated debate, with many fans questioning whether the show stuck the landing.

The finale discourse gained fresh momentum after Matthew Modine, who played the chilling Dr. Martin Brenner (Papa), weighed in on the ending in the most blunt way possible.

Interestingly, he also made it clear that his criticism does not mean he is done with the Stranger Things universe. When another fan asked,

“If they asked you to go back on Stranger Things, would you?” Modine replied without hesitation: “Of course.”
