While the duo was recently rewarded for their constant dedication and contribution to the nation. American actors were honored with the national award ‘Diolch y Ddraig’ for promoting Welsh culture on the international stage.

Since Welcome to Wrexham has not only popularized this football team, but their culture and language as a whole, Reynolds and his collaborator declared their love for the community as they spoke Welsh in the acceptance speech. Following that, Wrexham co-owners once again prove their connection to the Welsh community, this time with a flooded Food Bank.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s pledge worked wonders for Wales foodbank

The owner of a local Welsh pub recently started a donation camp for Wrexham foodbank to feed homeless people. Mr. Jones posted about this charity event on Twitter and welcomed people to join the cause. Reacting to the tweet, It’s Sunny in Philadelphia star replied, “And we’ll double it. Drink up everyone.”

This tweet went viral on social media that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have pledged to double the charity amount. Showing their support for the good cause, people made huge donations to the bank.

“We are so touched by all the PayPal donations flooding in from supporters in America, Canada and the UK,” posted the charity committee. Moreover, they added that this money will be used to help the vulnerable communities that are facing a crisis right now.

However, this is not the first time these business partners and BFFs have decided to help the needful. At the beginning of this year, they decided to help four-year-old Aria Hodgkiss who was suffering from brain tumor.
