The basketball season is starting early this year for the entertainment world. The sports comedy Running Point on Netflix, which follows the fictional basketball team Los Angeles Waves, is returning for more drama. As egos and ambitions clash, rivalry is expected to rise on the show, promising to bring more high-energy and electric chaos, glamour, and scandal.

With the amplified drama, the show will also bring both a familiar cast and new faces.

Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon: Kate Hudson, who is well known for her role in the rom-com movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She also featured in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, A Little White Lie, and Shell.

Brenda Song as Ali Lee: She plays the role of Lee, who is the chief of staff to Kate Hudson's team president.

Drew Tarver (Unfrosted) as Sandy Gordon: Gordon is Isla's younger half-brother and the Waves' CFO.

Justin Theroux (Violet) as Cam Gordon: He is Isla's other brother, who was forced to step down as President.

While the cast for the show is all set, Running Point will also show a new chapter for Hudson’s Isla Gordon and the rest of the cast.

Running Point began with Kate Hudson’s character, Isla, stepping up as president after her brother had to step down due to a scandal. The second season brings more chaos as Isla is no longer the underestimated member of the team but a threat to her brothers. She is a fan favorite, but her every move is under scrutiny.

After the franchise’s recovery from last season’s scandal, Isla is all set to make this right and prove herself.
