Robert Pattinson Joins Forces With Denzel Washington and Daisy Edgar-Jones for Netflix’s ‘Here Comes the Flood'

Robert Pattinson has carved his path from worldwide teenage crush, Edward Cullen, to the streets of Gotham in The Batman, traveling to the world of science fiction in Mickey 17. Despite being the most popular for his Twilight franchise, the actor, through his work in independent and content-based films, has proved his acting calibre. Now playing in the big league, Pattinson is ready to deliver another spectacular thriller on Netflix, Here Comes the Flood.

This time he is joined by the veteran actor and powerhouse of performance, Denzel Washington, and English diva, Daisy Edgar Jones.

Netflix Tudum has just announced the trio of Robert Pattinson, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Denzel Washington led Here Comes the Flood. It is an unconventional heist movie about a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief in a deadly game of cons and double crosses. While major details and release date are currently under wraps, the story is said to unfold in a non-linear fashion. It is directed by Academy Award nominee Fernando Meirelles and is written by Simon Kinberg, and promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seat.

Fernando Meirelles is also producing the movie with Oscar nominee Kinberg and Audrey Chon. Netflix has been working on its screenplay since 2020, and sealed a seven-figure deal for the script auction. In the past, Jason Bateman was in talks to direct the movie, but it never materialised. But it survived in the last few years and is finally at work with top talents from the industry. While Robert Pattinson starts working on this project, he has another big one lined up.

As anticipation builds for The Batman Part II, Robert Pattinson made a big revelation and expressed his eagerness to start filming the movie. As reported by Hero Magazine, the 39-year-old actor was frustrated with the delay; he made it clear that he cannot wait for the sequel to move forward. With his signature humor, he added, "I started out as young Batman & I’m going to be ----ing old Batman" before the movie made it to the theatres. And his last release came with Mickey 17, for which he earned much praise

Robert Pattinson's portrayal in the film captivated the audience, showcasing a depth and complexity that surpasses previous expectations. The upcoming Here Comes the Flood marks Pattinson’s second collaboration with Netflix. The first was the platform’s original movie, and critically acclaimed, The Devil All the Time. Here Comes the Flood will be his first attempt at the famous genre of heists with and also the first work collaboration with Daisy Edgar Jones and Denzel Washington, which hopefully arrives soon.
