Reddit Rallies Behind Nell Fisher Amid the New 'Stranger Things' Star Allegedly Being S--ualized
With Stranger Things now in its highly anticipated final season, excitement among the masses has been palpable, but so have been controversies. Social media has recently erupted over troubling discussions surrounding the show’s latest cast member, Nell Fisher, with some users accusing a few on the internet of s--ualizing the young star. Reddit, in particular, has emerged as a vocal platform defending her.
A post on Reddit featured a screenshot of Nell Fisher’s Instagram account, drawing attention to her bio. The actress, who joined Stranger Things as Holly Wheeler, described herself as a bookworm, mentioned her credit in Evil Dead Rise, and noted that her account is monitored by her parents.

While that line is missing as of this writing, the parent-monitored part of her bio still suggests she is being bothered online.
Nell Fisher is notably only 14 years old. Her character, Holly, in Stranger Things is supposed to be between nine and ten, making any inappropriate comments about her alarming. The Reddit post speaking in her favor agreed as well, asking its followers to report any disturbing remarks about her. In the comments section, people not only supported this but also reflected on how similar incidents have occurred in the past.
From recalling how Millie Bobby Brown was treated when she first entered showbiz to remembering a Harry Potter actress going through the same, Redditors defended Nell Fisher with determination.
