In the much-anticipated bout at the Intuit Dome, Ronda Rousey used her signature armbar to defeat Gina Carano in just 17 seconds. While it was another dominant win for Rousey, it was also the quickest loss of Carano’s career. Carano, who had not competed since 2009, returned to the ring nearly 17 years later for the massive opportunity. Meanwhile, Rousey, who had stepped away from MMA after two disappointing knockout defeats, came back to reclaim her legacy. All 22 fighters on the Ronda Rousey-Gina Carano fight card are expected to earn at least $40,000 each. Moreover, Rousey and Carano are expected to earn much more. Rousey even claimed in an interview with TalkSport that their fight could see a record-breaking purse.
"The biggest money fight is the biggest fight period," she said.

Gina Carano opened up about her one disappointment
It was a massive fight not only for Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey, but also for the fans who have long looked up to them as pioneers of women’s MMA. Carano shared that she had reportedly lost nearly 100 pounds to prepare for the bout. However, she was disappointed by the brief 17-second contest, during which she could not land a single punch during the fight.
"I wanted that to last longer," Carano said, as per ESPN.
