Season 1 of Ransom Canyon ended on a bittersweet note. Several conflicts and heartbreaking revelations have left relationships hanging in uncertainty while raising more questions about the future. Will Quinn end up with Staten, and what happens to his land? At long last, Season 2 is set to bring some much-needed answers, but that will not be without drama. 

Along with the return of several familiar faces, the new season will also introduce new characters who bring new aspects to the story. So, here is everything you need to know about the plot of Ransom Canyon Season 2.

Ranson Canyon Season 2 picks up six months after the events of Season 1. After finding out the devastating truth in season 1, Staten is now set to reclaim his family's Double K Ranch after losing his position as trustee. At the same time, the story will focus on Quinn as she returns after her time in the Big Apple.

As both face life-changing decisions, the two will also deal with old emotions. So, the second season will explore whether their romance will survive. While speaking to Tudum, Josh Duhamel also spoke about what to expect from his character, Staten.

“He’s willing to accept a lot of the responsibility for what happened,” he told Netflix Tudum. 

“My character isn’t as sullen as he was last year,” he swears. “He’s much more out of his shell. He has fun.”

As for the cast, previous stars will return along with new members set to join the show.

Minka Kelly as Quinn: Minka Kelly previously appeared as Lyla Garrity on the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights, and later starred in Euphoria. 

Josh Duhamel as Staten: Duhamel is well known for his role in Love, Simon.

Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman: She appeared as Dawn Harper in the Nickelodeon sitcom Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. She previously appeared as Sophie Dixon in the ABC family drama A Million Little Things.

Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell: Wareing appears in Manifest, Independence Day: Resurgence, Dead Sea, and more. 

Casey W. Johnson as Kit Russell: Casey W. Johnson is well known for his role in GLOW and For All Mankind.

Jack Schumacher (Top Gun: Maverick) as Yancy Grey

Brett Cullen (Joker) as Sam Kirkland

Tatanka Means (Killers of the Flower Moon) as Jake Longbow

Marianly Tejada (One of Us is Lying) as Ellie Estevez

Steve Howey (Bride Wars) as Levi

Patricia Clarkson (The Untouchables) as Quinn's mother, Claire

Heidi Grace Engerman (Chicago Fire) as Sidney. 

Apart from Howey, Clarkson, and Engerman, Ben Robson, Thomas Rhett, and Jordan Davis are new members to join the cast. 

Ransom Canyon Season 2 is set to premiere on July 23, 2026. That is set to bring the fans back to the sweeping Texas drama, family conflicts, and new challenges after months of anticipation. All 8 episodes of the much-anticipated series will be available to stream on Netflix on the same day to binge-watch.
