Pop Culture Jeopardy! is just days away from getting audiences to feast themselves with some of the most bizarre and fun trivia on all things music, television, movies, and internet trends. On April 27, the trailer for the upcoming episodes was released by Netflix, and the show looks like a laugh riot, thanks to Colin Jost, the star of Saturday Night Live, who will host the program once more.
Interestingly, the first season of the show came back in 2024 on Amazon Prime, and now it has shifted home to Netflix. Participants in this different version of the classic Jeopardy! show will compete with each other for a grand prize, which leads Jost to joke about their crippling addiction to screen time that will ultimately help them to win the show.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! will be available for streaming every weekday evening from May 11 to June 5 on Netflix. The top nine teams will compete in a five-day tournament during the last week of the show to round off the upcoming season. It will be a month of trivia night, day in and day out.
While many are already familiar with the show’s framework, some do think it is entirely the same as the classic Jeopardy!
Pop Culture Jeopardy! and classic Jeopardy! - not the same thing
The difference between Pop Culture Jeopardy! and classic Jeopardy is actually clear from the name itself. The questions in this twisted but fun version of the original show will mostly be concerning the extremely important aspects of the literal VIPs of Hollywood and beyond. In a variety of categories, including TV, films, and music, such as "Horror Made Wholesome" and "Bummer Movie Endings," contestants test their knowledge of popular culture, according to Tudum.
