Netflix’s Famous Last Words series has come out with its latest episode featuring the final message from Gloria Steinmen. Steinem, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 92, was regarded by many as a frontrunner of the feminist movement for over 50 years. However, the writer, magazine editor, professor, and activist had a lot to disagree with in her farewell interview.

She made her sentiments, contrary to the leadership title given to her, very clear in Netflix’s Famous Last Words- her final interview.

Gloria Steinem, a feminist hero, is featured in the latest episode of the Netflix series Famous Last Words, which comprises filmed interviews with famous people held in trust and disclosed posthumously. Famous Last Words executive producer Brad Falchuk conducted an interview with Steinem for the series in February 2025, and a year later, she passed away in New York City on September 2 at the age of 92.

Steinem emphasized the value of community and bringing people from different origins and points of view together throughout their talk, which covered topics such as family, her profession as a writer and founder of Ms. magazine, her passion for reality TV, and her work as an activist and supporter of global equality. Falchuk exited the stage at the conclusion of the interview, so Steinem could address the camera directly and share her last, unedited public remarks.

“Please tell your own story. This is the most important thing we can do for each other — to know each other through stories,” she said in her final address.

The Danish format Det Sidste Ord served as the model for Famous Last Words. Falchuk and Mikkel Bondesen, under the Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision label, BSNA (a Banijay Entertainment business), David Goldberg, and showrunner David Friedman are executive producers of the series. The Gloria Steinem episode is currently available to stream on Netflix.
