Inside Netflix's deal with Pardon My Take podcast

Netflix has announced that the video version of the popular sports podcast Pardon My Take will be available solely on its service at the beginning of 2026. The hosts, Dan Big Cat Katz and Eric Sollenberger, disclosed the agreement during a recent episode.

The award-winning podcast hosts emphasized that the audio version will continue to be available on conventional podcast platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. However, the video episodes will not be available on free video channels anymore, except for Netflix.

"In 2026 January. We don’t have the exact date, but we have come to a deal with Netflix... So here’s how it’s going to work: our podcast video will be exclusively on Netflix," Katz revealed their big announcement while answering FAQs in the latest podcast episode.

Pardon My Take has charted in the top 100 podcasts on YouTube’s weekly podcast charts all year. With this new deal, which is a part of a broader collaboration with Barstool Sports, which also encompasses exclusive video rights for other leading podcasts such as Spittin’ Chiclets and The Ryen Russillo Show, all of the Pardon My Take videos will be available on Netflix in the US early next year. Thus, it will provide several potential benefits from being on the mainstream platform, reaching a new demographic.

Eric Sollenberger pointed out that relocating Pardon My Take to Netflix would also bring the families in on their satirical sports commentary, who normally would not take the trouble of navigating multiple sites to tune in to the podcast.
