Netflix has spent years turning teen dramas and mystery thrillers into global obsessions. From the elite corridors of Elite to the survival-driven tensions of Outer Banks and the romantic intrigue of My Life with the Walter Boys, the streamer knows exactly how to bottle youthful chaos and suspense. June is shaping up to continue that tradition with Oasis, a Spanish mystery thriller that transforms a sun-soaked luxury getaway into a locked-room puzzle where nobody can be trusted.

The newly released trailer wastes no time pulling viewers into its deceptive paradise. At first glance, Oasis looks like the kind of summer fantasy social media influencers spend months trying to recreate. Then, in less than two minutes, the dream begins to crack.

The 96-second teaser opens with everything one would expect from a luxury resort drama. Beach bonfires flicker beneath starry skies while glamorous arrivals are welcomed into what appears to be the most exclusive vacation destination in the country. The imagery feels almost postcard-perfect, deliberately evoking the aspirational luxury that has become a staple of modern prestige dramas.

Then the mood shifts. Police officers wearing Policía Nacional vests suddenly flood the resort grounds. Quick cuts reveal frightened faces, shadowy confrontations, late-night investigations, and growing paranoia among both guests and staff. A disappearance has occurred; nobody can leave, and every smiling face introduced in the opening moments becomes a potential suspect. The result looks like a collision between a summer romance and a psychological whodunit.

As anticipation builds, many viewers are already wondering whether Oasis could become Netflix's next breakout international thriller. The ingredients certainly appear to be there, waiting to be released out in the open.

When does Oasis release on Netflix?

Netflix has officially confirmed that Oasis will premiere globally on June 19. Created by Ramón Campos alongside Jon de la Cuesta Olaizola, Javier Chacártegui Horrach, David Orea Arribas, and Ricardo Jornet Gallego, the series comes from Bambú Producciones, the studio behind acclaimed Spanish hits such as Cable Girls, Velvet, and The Asunta Case. Producers have described the series as a coming-of-age mystery where friendship, first loves, difficult choices, and hidden truths drive the narrative as much as the central investigation.

Leading the cast are Ana Garcés, known for The Promise, Tomy Aguilera from Welcome to Eden, and Victoria Kantch. They are joined by a large ensemble including Berta Castañé, Blas Polidori, Jan Buxaderas, and several rising Spanish stars. Filming took place in Tenerife, whose dramatic coastal landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for a story about privilege, secrecy, and suspicion.

If the trailer is any indication, Oasis could become one of Netflix's most talked-about international releases of the summer, blending youthful energy with a mystery that grows darker with every clue.
