In a recent episode of Netflix’s The Rest is Football, titled Scotland’s Crucial Win and Niall Horan’s Rondo With Neymar, the famous singer, who featured alongside footballer Joe Cole, shared his recollections of his first meeting with Neymar Jr. While recounting the meeting, he quickly detailed what followed.

“We were kind of playing a little bit of a rondo thing, and he’d [Neymar Jr.] just come back from injury, and I did a slide tackle on him. He was in his garage. I was like, ‘Oh Jesus, what am I doing?’ I’d had a few beers on board. ‘I am gonna break the ankles of the best Brazilian footballer in the world,’” Horan said.

During the podcast, he gave a little background before sharing the incident. He said that he met Neymar when he went to see a Barcelona game and someone informed him there that the Brazilian phenomenon was a fan of his. So, when Neymar politely invited him to his house, he could not refuse.

He said that he had a great time with him and his friends, with whom he shared a lovely game of pool and a few drinks. However, one of the guests could not believe that he went to Neymar’s house just to play pool there. The witty remark led him to further reveal information about the fun bit of the night, and hence we got an interesting Horan-Neymar memory.
