There is a quiet moment in Pachinko that fans still cannot shake, the one where Sunja finally realizes that Isak Baek is offering her something far rarer than grand romance: steady, unconditional care. It is soft, almost understated, yet it lingers long after the episode ends. Much of that emotional weight came from the easy, deeply human chemistry between Kim Min Ha and Noh Sang Hyun, a pairing the audience is bound to want to see again.

Netflix seems to have heard these silent wishes, making them come true with the duo reuniting once more.

A brand-new Netflix romantic comedy titled Messily Ever After, which is a working title, is set to kick off production in February 2026. Pachinko favorites Kim Min Ha and Noh Sang Hyun are back together for a sparkling on-screen love story, and Squid Game alum Roh Jae Won is joining the fun as well.

Fresh off their heartfelt connection in the Apple TV show, Kim Min Ha and Noh Sang Hyun step into rom-com mode as longtime college lovers marking year ten, while joining Netflix's stellar K-drama roster.  According to Netflix, Su-hyun, played by Kim Min Ha, and Hyun-tae, portrayed by Noh Sang Hyun, first lock eyes across their art school campus and tumble into instant love, in the film. A full decade later, their passion burns just as bright, but so does the frustration, leading to wild antics all in the name of romance.

Messily Ever After dives deep into the rollercoaster of a committed relationship, nailing that chaotic blend of devotion, annoyance, attraction, and uncertainty that hits when you truly know your partner inside out. Helmed by up-and-coming director Seo Jung Min, the movie promises clever, snappy narratives paired with an honest peek at contemporary partnerships. Bombaram Film handles production, the same team that delivered the teen romance Love Untangled by Namkoong Sun and the powerful drama Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 by Kim Do-in.
