Season 2 of One Piece, released on March 10, 2026, on Netflix, had barely allowed saga fans to catch their breath before chatter about what lies ahead began spilling across the fandom. As speculation around Season 3 gathers wind, the return of Wapol, portrayed by Rob Colletti, seems to be making waves across headlines. However, addressing the growing curiosity, Colletti recently spoke to ScreenRant about the possibility of returning beyond the second season, hinting that he remains uncertain about whether Wapol will appear again or what direction the story may take next, as the ending is still unwritten for One Piece's Wapol.

"They're so tight-lipped about any future plans that they have. What I do know, is that there are elements of him coming back in the future from some of the source material. I have no idea what my role will be in that," Colletti told ScreenRant's Liam Crowley.

Still adding fuel to the buzz swirling through the fandom, Colletti shared that if the series decides to bring Wapol back into the adventure, he would happily return to the world of pirates and Devil Fruit chaos, perhaps even sailing back with revenge on his mind against Monkey D. Luffy.

"And honestly, I think it helped deliver the gravity of his situation more for the story, which personally, I think plays well. I will go back if they'll have me," Colletti added.

With Season 2 already making headlines not just for its success but also for how One Piece may have solved its so-called Stranger Things problem, anticipation for Season 3 has only grown stronger as the returning cast continues to stir excitement among fans. This time, the sails of the saga are expected to dive deeper into the climactic Alabasta Arc, where the Straw Hat Pirates join forces with Nefertari Vivi, played by Charithra Chandran, to stop the villainous Crocodile and his Baroque Works from igniting a devastating civil war in the desert kingdom.

Nevertheless, while it remains uncertain whether Wapol will sail back into the story or accept his defeat, one thing is clear, One Piece Season 3 is already steering the Straw Hat adventure toward even bigger storms across the Grand Line.
