October gave Netflix subscribers a genre-hopping watchlist, from the aquatic creature horror of Below to the returning chaos of The Gentlemen Season 2. Ben Affleck's kidnapping thriller Animals also dominated the movie charts, proving that audiences were in the mood for suspense, dark mysteries, and high-stakes storytelling.

However, Netflix is not quite finished changing the channel on its audience. November brings a fresh assortment of British espionage, supernatural teen horror, real-life financial scandals, holiday escapism, and returning fan favorites.

1. A Dog's Perfect Christmas (November 4)

Netflix is adding a particularly adorable twist to that formula with A Dog's Perfect Christmas, a holiday drama narrated from the perspective of a wise old basset hound named Winstead. The film follows a teenager, her grandfather, and their four-legged companion as they try to hold their family together during the festive season. Directed by Cathryn Michon, the film is based on the work of W. Bruce Cameron, the bestselling author behind A Dog's Purpose.

Thomas Haden Church lends his voice to Winstead, while Dennis Quaid plays grandfather Sander Goss. Brooke Lena Johnson, Milo Ventimiglia, Mary Steenburgen, Jennifer Tilly, and Kathleen Rose Perkins round out the cast. Arriving November 4, the 99-minute film offers an early dose of Christmas nostalgia for viewers who enjoy sentimental family stories and their canine scene-stealers, as per What's On Netflix.

But if your idea of a perfect November evening involves less hot chocolate and more international conspiracies, Netflix has something considerably more dangerous waiting around the corner.

2. Black Doves Season 2 (November 5)

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw are returning to the shadowy corridors of British intelligence with Black Doves Season 2. Created by Joe Barton, the darkly comic spy thriller follows Helen Webb, a woman who balances her responsibilities as a politician's wife with her secret work for an underground intelligence organization. The first season introduced audiences to her dangerous double life, and the next chapter promises to make that balancing act considerably harder.

Knightley and Whishaw reprise their roles as Helen and Sam, respectively, alongside Sarah Lancashire as Mrs. Reed and Andrew Buchan as Wallace. The six-episode season arrives November 5.

3. Doozie's Doghouse (November 9)

From international espionage to puppy-sized adventures, Netflix is also expanding its preschool animation universe. Doozie's Doghouse is a companion series to Gabby's Dollhouse, giving Gabby's little sister Doozie an imaginative world of her own. This time, the adventures move into a doghouse filled with playful canine companions, creative activities, and plenty of opportunities for little viewers to join the fun.

The mixed-media production continues the franchise's blend of live-action presentation and animated fantasy. Its seven episodes, each approximately 22 minutes long, arrive November 9.

4. The Body (November 11)

Catholic school rituals, teenage rivalries, and supernatural disturbances make for an unsettling combination in The Body. Netflix's upcoming coming-of-age thriller begins with a group of schoolgirls whose initiation ceremony goes terribly wrong. What follows is a series of prophetic visions that trigger mass hysteria and threaten to engulf their entire community.

The eight-episode series premieres November 11, offering a blend of Catholic horror, psychological suspense, and teenage drama.

5. Heartland (November 13)

Nashville has always had a complicated relationship with fame, where the promise of a hit record can sit alongside the darker realities of the music industry. Netflix's Heartland explores that tension through the story of Misty Jones, a former country music superstar who returns to the spotlight for a deeply personal reason.

Written and directed by Shana Feste, whose previous credits include Country Strong, the 112-minute thriller takes viewers into the murky corners of Nashville while exploring the secrets buried beneath its musical glamour. Heartland arrives November 13.

6. The Altruists (November 19)

The cryptocurrency world has produced its fair share of extraordinary fortunes, spectacular collapses, and courtroom scandals. Netflix is revisiting one of its most notorious financial controversies with The Altruists, an eight-episode limited series about the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX. All eight episodes arrive November 19.

7. The Trials of Karen Read (November 23)

For viewers who prefer their mysteries rooted in real courtrooms rather than fictional investigations, The Trials of Karen Read brings one of America's closely followed criminal cases to Netflix. The three-part documentary revisits the death of Boston police officer John O'Keefe, whose girlfriend, Karen Read, became the central figure in a highly contentious investigation. Co-directed by Danielle Johnson and Rob Miller, the three-episode series premieres November 23. It offers true-crime viewers an opportunity to revisit the evidence, testimony, and questions that kept the case in the headlines.

8. The Hunting Wives Season 2 (November 26)

If the first season established anything, it is that the picturesque neighborhoods of Maple Brook, Texas, can conceal some remarkably dangerous secrets. The Hunting Wives returns for its second season with Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman stepping back into the complicated relationship between Sophie and Margo. Based on May Cobb's bestselling novel, the series combines psychological suspense, social intrigue, forbidden attraction, and murder into a particularly addictive television cocktail.

Season 2 begins with Sophie and Margo estranged, but old secrets and new enemies soon force them back into each other's lives. Their complicated attraction remains central to the story, while the arrival of new faces threatens to make an already volatile situation even messier. Created by Rebecca Cutter, the eight-episode season premieres November 26, just in time for Thanksgiving viewing.

November is shaping up to be an entertaining month for Netflix subscribers, with everything from holiday comfort viewing and family animation to psychological thrillers and returning dramas.
