With a new generation of Hillman students, Netflix's A Different World sequel continues the same universe decades after the previous installment ended. It might just bring contemporary sensibilities about Black history and culture (as the original series once did) on the heels of nostalgia. All that is left to see is if the sequel lives up to its parent show, come September 2026.
