Netflix is continuing the legacy of A Different World with a sequel series that picks up the story of the beloved sitcom, which aired from 1987 to 1993. Maleah Joi Moon as Deborah Wayne – Daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, Deborah is the one who takes center stage as she embarks on her journey at Hillman College.

Jasmine Guy as Whitley/Whitney Gilbert – Hillman's legendary alum is back as Deborah’s mother.

Kadeem Hardison as Dwayne Wayne – The fan-favorite engineer returns as Deborah’s father.

Darryl M. Bell as Ron Johnson – Dwayne’s old best friend is back at Hillman.
