According to Deadline, Shemar Moore is actively seeking a revival for S.W.A.T. following its cancellation by CBS, making a direct appeal to Netflix. The Emmy-nominated actor expressed gratitude for his 31-year journey in the industry, and credited 90 percent of it to the network, but made it clear that he believes CBS is making the wrong decision. In a video shared on Instagram, Moore hinted at a potential revival, stating, “Netflix, if you’re interested in a show that is on autopilot that the world is watching, we’d love to come play.”
Shemar Moore’s plea to Netflix comes at a time when beloved shows have met untimely ends, as seen with many beautiful shows that ended in 2024. Much like those fan favorites, S.W.A.T. has a dedicated audience that is unwilling to let it go. Moore assured fans that he and his castmates “ain’t done chasing bad guys” and are ready to bring their high-octane action back, if Netflix or another network answers the call.

Netflix has built a reputation for breathing new life into canceled shows, giving them a second chance to thrive. When Fox cancelled Lucifer after three seasons, the streaming giant stepped in, extending the series for three more highly successful seasons. Similarly, NBC’s Manifest was canceled after three seasons, only for Netflix to bring it back with a final season that allowed the story to reach its intended conclusion. Even You, originally a Lifetime series, found global success after Netflix revived it.
