The second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 25, and as the release date is getting closer and closer, the marketing material for the season is getting more and more intriguing. Aang's quest to grow stronger and vanquish the Fire Nation is still ongoing. Bigger conflicts, new friends, and increasing threats are all part of the new season. This season's primary focus will be on Aang's quest for an earth bending instructor as he visits Ba Sing Se and encounters the talented Toph Beifong.
Now, the fans have a look at the main focus of the season through a new teaser showing off the beloved Toph Beifong in live-action.

Now that he must learn Earthbending, Aang will attempt to assume considerably more of his Avatar responsibilities in Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2. This will bring him into contact with Toph Beifong (Miya Cech), his Earthbending teacher. A cool new teaser gave fans a far more comprehensive look at how the beloved character is making her way to live action.
The clip makes it seem that the production is heavily relying on the mystical, almost spiritual aspect of Toph's connection to the soil. The teaser conveys that Toph was born blind and uses her strong earthbending talents to detect the world around her. Her portrayal as the great Toph looks impressive, and the teaser really increased the buzz around her role in the season.
After freeing the Northern Water Tribe in a bittersweet victory, Aang, Katara, and Sokka embark on a journey in season 2 to persuade the elusive Earth King to support them in their fight against Fire Lord Ozai. In the second season, Aang must learn earthbending under Toph's tutelage, just like in the original Nickelodeon series. The teaser even features him watching her compete in an earthbending competition, which is a clear imitation of a well-loved scene from the animated source material.
Anyhow, Miya Cech as Toph Beifong is not going to be the only new addition this year.
