The Wonderfools will begin streaming on Netflix in mid-2026 and will deliver viewers their unique superpowers, 1990s nostalgia through its talented Korean cast. Netflix plans to release the series in Q2 2026, although May 15 has become the main date people expect for the first episode, according to a recent report on a South Korean news outlet, My Daily.

The action-comedy movie combines chaotic comedy with emotional teamwork during its 1999 doomsday scenario, which shows how ordinary people become heroes to protect their city. It stars Park Eun-bin as Eun Chae-ni, a lovable disaster who is pushed into a superhuman existence.

Cha Eun-woo plays Lee Woon Jung, a principled civil servant roped into a series of strange disappearances. The cast also includes veterans Kim Hae-sook, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Sung-jae, and Son Hyun-joo.

According to the outlet, the production presentation featuring the actors will begin on May 12, 2026, to May 13, 2026. Directed by Yoo In-sik (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and written by Heo Da-joong, with creator Kang Eun-kyung, the series is set to arrive on Netflix soon, although the streamer has only officially revealed no changes in its planned release date despite the True Beauty actor's recent controversies. However, Netflix has not yet announced the final release date.
