Netflix has released its first teaser and first images for its upcoming horror miniseries Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, created by Haley Z. Boston and executive-produced by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, who created Stranger Things. The psychological thriller, which consists of eight episodes, will premiere on March 26, 2026.

The teaser for Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen opens with an eerie, atmospheric tone as different characters from the story, which includes friends, family, and wedding guests, directly address the camera while they keep apologizing. Tension builds when the couple starts their wedding reception, and the others keep saying "I'm sorry."

The montage creates mounting dread without revealing specifics, emphasizing psychological unease over jump scares. The trailer creates panic across dark forests. A hostile energy that unites romantic wedding scenes with building horror until the ill-fated marriage creates a skin-crawling feeling of danger that will bring about destruction.

Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & the Six) and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus season 2) lead the cast with an ensemble of stars like Jennifer Jason Leigh from Fargo, Ted Levine from Monk, and Jeff Wilbusch from Unorthodox, Karla Crome from Carnival Row, Gus Birney from Shining Vale, and more. The miniseries is touted to become one of the most terrifying new shows that the streaming service will offer.

"The show is about the fear of marrying the wrong person. I’ve been to weddings where people say in their vows, ‘I never once had a doubt.’ I hear that, and I’m like, ‘That’s crazy. What do you mean?'' Boston explained to Tudum.

The show combines psychological horror elements with visually stunning landscapes and jarring architecture to create a sense of doom laced within the foreboding nuptials. Expect a horror about commitment with a terrifying twist this March, as something bad happens.
