Netflix Sets Global Release Date for Live-Action 'Sins of Kujo': Cast, Plot, and All We Know
When Kujō no Taizai (translated as Kujō's Deadly Sins) debuted as a manga in 2020, it cut through the seinen landscape with a scalpel, interrogating morality, law, and human darkness in a way few crime stories dared. For six years, Shohei Manabe’s narrative twisted readers’ expectations, selling four million copies and building a fervent fanbase. By 2025, the decision to adapt this morally ambiguous legal drama into live action as Sins of Kujo crystallized, promising to bring Kujo’s shadowed world from panels to screens with cinematic intensity.
Now, that decision has moved from project to premiere. Netflix has locked in a global release date for the series, and anticipation is mounting.

Plot, creative team and what to expect from Sins of Kujo live action
Fundamentally, Sins of Kujo blends legal drama with psychological thriller, following Taiza Kujo, a lawyer unafraid to defend society’s vilest clients in pursuit of ambiguous justice. Each case forces Kujo into morally compromised negotiations with police, prosecutors, and the criminal underworld.
