Netflix Set to Lose All 20 'James Bond' Films in Less Than a Week: Watch Before It’s Too Late

Published 04/11/2026, 5:47 PM EDT

April is set to witness the departure of numerous movies and popular TV shows from Netflix's library as the streamer's catalog undergoes a significant overhaul. The month is scheduled with new arrivals, and hence, parting ways with the titles not bringing enough viewership for the platform becomes imminent.

Comedy, drama, action, animation, and long-running television series are just a few of the genres that have been removed. However, the decision to part ways with the whole James Bond movie franchise is one of the most discussed changes.

A total of 20 Bond movies will be on their way out of the Netflix library this month, among other titles.

Casino Royale

Remembered as the iconic debut of Daniel Craig, the longest-serving James Bond in the franchise’s history, as the British spy, the movie explores Bond’s very first mission after he earned his license to kill. He takes up the villain at the poker table, showing off his gambling chops for once.

A memorable debut, but can it surpass Sir Sean Connery’s charm?

Diamonds Are Forever

With the aid of a stunning smuggler, Agent 007 sets out to stop his archenemy when he starts accumulating diamonds for use in a lethal weapon. Sir Sean Connery’s undeniable charm as the beloved character is present throughout this installment of the franchise as well.

Cillian Murphy As Villain in James Bond Movie? ‘Peaky Blinders’ Actor Answers the Big Question

While it has the signature Sir Sean Connery charisma, the next one is also a fan-favorite.

Die Another Day

Pierce Brosnan’s final appearance as Her Majesty’s agent, this one shows the character in his full glory. From globetrotting action to romance and betrayal, the movie had every Bond trope done right. A proper send-off to the most sophisticatedly charming James Bond.

From Pierce Brosnan’s last, the list moves on to Sir Sean Connery’s first.

Dr. No

The one that started it all! British spy 007 (Sir Sean Connery) travels to Jamaica to investigate the disappearance of a colleague and apprehend the elusive Dr. No in the film that laid the first brick for the foundation of the James Bond franchise.

The franchise came a long way from Dr. No to the next entry on the list.

For Your Eyes Only

This one features Roger Moore, the longest-serving James Bond after Daniel Craig. In this one, he plays the sophisticated superspy who competes with Soviet agents to capture a covert superweapon that can control ballistic missiles from nuclear submarines.

James Bond’s love affair with the Soviets will continue with the next movie on the list.

From Russia with Love

A widely popular title from the James Bond franchise featuring Sir Sean Connery. This time, Bond is set to suffer lethal retribution for his past achievements. In an attempt to get revenge for Dr. No's death, the criminal organization Spectre entices him into the open. Only if he somehow avoids a predetermined fate.

There is really something with James Bond and the Russians; they find their way to each other somehow, just like in the next one, too.

GoldenEye

In his debut as 007, Pierce Brosnan plays dapper secret agent James Bond, who looks into the demolition of a Russian satellite weapons base. This is arguably one of the best Bond movies of Brosnan’s career, and it gives the Bond universe the actor’s unique take on the British spy.

From Brosnan’s best, it is time to move to Connery’s classic.

Goldfinger

Sir Sean Connery returns as James Bond to foil speculator Auric Goldfinger's complex scheme to control all of the world's gold markets by using his finest technology and his inherently shrewd tactics. He prevents an attack on Fort Knox’s gold reserves and saves yet another day.

The array of villains Bond faces does not seem to end, as the next one has another life-threatening antagonist hell-bent on killing 007.

The Man with the Golden Gun

Roger Moore’s James Bond is the target of the most deadly assassin in the world, Francisco Scaramanga, but Agent 007 devises a cunning scheme to become the hunter rather than the hunted. He is also in pursuit of an advanced solar cell technology to prevent it from ending up in the wrong hands.

This one had advanced technology, while Bond’s next mission entails nuclear weapons.

Never Say Never Again

Sir Sean Connery rushes to stop the nuclear blackmailers from causing extensive destruction as the criminal group Spectre takes control of two atomic weapons. The human element added to Bond’s character in this particular movie makes it unique from others in the franchise.

Similar to this one, the next one also adds something personal to the stakes.

No Time to Die

Daniel Craig’s farewell to the celebrated spy, he returns for one last time to action after retiring from MI6 when he is called upon by an old CIA colleague to save a kidnapped scientist and thwart a terrible new weapon.

From Craig’s last, the list moves on to the most recognized and widely appreciated title of the franchise.

Octopussy

An iconic classic among the most popular Bond titles, Octopussy is considered Roger Moore’s best Bond movie ever. A rebel general and an exiled prince have a complex scheme to blow off a nuclear bomb at a NATO air force installation, which James Bond needs to stop. The film is celebrated for its critical balance of action, thriller, and comedy genres.

After another nuclear threat, it is time for some psychological warfare.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

The one-time only James Bond, George Lazenby, leads this action-thriller where Agent 007 follows his archnemesis to an Alpine allergy research facility, where the villain is brainwashing people in order to wreak havoc globally. The movie has the hallmarks of a proper Bond flick.

A very notable entry from a one-time Bond, but the next one is from a veteran of the franchise.

Quantum of Solace

Daniel Craig brings back his gritty and intense portrayal of 007 in an action-packed and emotionally thrilling storyline. James Bond finds a transnational criminal organization plotting to seize control of natural resources in order to make money by tracking down a traitor within MI6.

From one Daniel Craig extravaganza to the next, a back-to-back Craig fiesta.

Skyfall

A broken and emotionally dejected James Bond accepts a task that puts him up against a resentful cyberterrorist with a common past when MI6 is attacked. Same Mendes brings back the signature suave and wit of the iconic spy, and Daniel Craig, as usual, hits all the right notes with the new addition.

This was a comeback in style moment for Craig, and the next one is where things start to tie up.

Spectre

James Bond, who is on leave from MI6, still pursues a trail of clues to find a violent criminal organization whose boss has ties to his past. The movie has a connection with the previous installments, like Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale, so it will be better to watch those first.

From Craig’s intensity back to Moore’s lighter and more nonchalant portrayal.

The Spy Who Loved Me

In order to stop a wealthy industrialist who is planning to destroy the contemporary world with his newly acquired nuclear warheads and establish his own undersea empire, James Bond (Roger Moore) teams up with a Russian agent (Barbara Bach).

The gears will now shift from Russia to China, and the threat will also change shape.

Tomorrow Never Dies

This high-stakes James Bond thriller, starring Pierce Brosnan, pits 007 and a Chinese superspy (Michelle Yeoh) against a media giant who craves power. Be ready for thrilling action and high-stakes chase sequences, flaunting amazing new gadgets and dangerously stunning stunts.

After a breather from nuclear weapons, James Bond will again wager his luck against a nuclear threat.

The World Is Not Enough

Again, the British spy is up against a nuclear plot that threatens the world, but now he has an oil heiress to protect as well from being kidnapped again. This is Pierce Brosnan’s best comic thriller and most inventive Bond entry in the franchise.

Now, the next title will really make it clear why the world is not enough.

James Bond pursues the true culprits as the US and the Soviet Union are on the verge of war due to the strange disappearance of spaceships from both sides. Sir Sean Connery joins forces with the Japanese secret service for this one to stop a possible all-out war between the US and Russia.

All these classic Bond titles will no longer be available on Netflix starting April 21. Therefore, there are only a few days left to watch as many of these titles as possible. The decision also comes at a time when the world is looking forward to a new James Bond casting, which has been receiving several new updates but has not made a definitive choice.
