It looks like Netflix has found a new habit for itself. The widespread network has been reviving long-lost and underdog content lately. They are constantly acquiring rights to list shows and movies on their platform. This way, the streamer has popularized content that goes unnoticed when it arrives in theatres or cable channels. From the 1960s classic television series Lost In Space to Ryan Reynolds‘ anime Turbo, there is a lot of content for subscribers to stream. Now continuing this parade of breathing life into lost content, they are bringing a forgotten fantasy drama starring Keanu Reeves.

This movie takes on a fictionalized version interpreting the story “in a world of witches and giants.” Actors who joined the cast alongside the 58-year-old include Hiroyuki Sanada, Rinko Kikuchi, Tadanobu Asano, and Ko Shibasaki. Taking the mantle of the lead character Kai, a half-Japanese and half-English, the Canadian star fights for the love of his life.
At the time of its release, the movie received negative reviews from critics and only earned $151 million against a production budget of $175–225 million. However, from what fans are saying, it appears the streaming giant has taken the right decision to add this flick to their list of reviving movies.
Fans are impressed with Netflix
Seeing this announcement on Twitter, many fans jumped into the comment section showing their excitement for 47 Ronin. People who have already watched it said that the movie is actually great. While others stated that they will watch it right away. Despite its failure on the silver screen, it did impress viewers.
