Now continuing this parade of breathing life into lost content, they are bringing a forgotten fantasy drama starring Keanu Reeves.

Netflix recently dropped a clip on social media announcing the arrival of 47 Ronin. The video gave a glimpse of the beloved actor Keanu Reeves fighting a monster. This movie is based on a real-life event that took place in 18th-century Japan. The fictionalized movie takes viewers back to the time when a group of masterless samurai under daimyō Asano Naganori avenged the death of Naganori.

This movie takes on a fictionalized version interpreting the story “in a world of witches and giants.” Actors who joined the cast alongside the 58-year-old include Hiroyuki Sanada, Rinko Kikuchi, Tadanobu Asano, and Ko Shibasaki. Taking the mantle of the lead character Kai, a half-Japanese and half-English, the Canadian star fights for the love of his life.

At the time of its release, the movie received negative reviews from critics and only earned $151 million against a production budget of $175–225 million.
