Streaming giant, Netflix gave fans something to cheer and ponder over as it released the character posters for the final season of Sex Education. The British comedy-drama had received praise for its balance and handling of topics of sexuality, identity, and mental health, without trivializing them. While season three gave fans plenty to talk about, the posters for the next season already have fans buzzing.

Notably, as some of the prominent cast members forego their return, the main cast will still involve important characters. With that being said, the latest poster drops have highlighted four characters that will be in the spotlight. Asa Butterfield and Gillian Anderson will return as the iconic mother-son duo of Otis and Jean Milburn. Moreover, Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey too return as Otis’ best friend and love interest, respectively.

While Season 4 will look to build upon Isaac’s return and influence over Otis and Maeve’s relationship, the posters talk nothing about it. Rather, the character posters eerily and hilariously depict the show’s crux. Fans are left defending or countering the “expressions” of the characters. Featuring each of the characters in the show’s hues, the posters are sending fans down a rabbit hole of laughter and shock.
As each one of them puts on a trademark expression, fans wonder what “was Netflix thinking”! Remarkably, the facial expressions of Otis and Jean have become a talking point. While Maeve’s expressions are wide-eyed, Eric’s expressions are in a league of their own!
Fans also point out the hilarity and uniqueness of Netflix’s latest posters as they become the new talking point online.
Fans showcase mixed reactions to Sex Education Season 4 posters
As the narrative built up at the end of season three to take on serious and character-defining moments, season four will look to provide a satisfying conclusion. However, the posters have alienated fans completely from the plot of the point. Thus, fans have shown mixed reactions to the posters.

Love it, hate that most of the cast aren't coming back, but that just shows how damn good this cast is, they are such great actors that they are high demand.
Can't wait for this finale— akshay (@A_K_Verm) August 29, 2023
