A murder mystery is one thing, but a luxury paradise packed with secrets is even harder to resist. Netflix's Spanish thriller Oasis has become an alluring watch by blending the glossy escapism of The White Lotus, the scandal-fueled drama of Elite, and the tension of a lockdown mystery. Yet amid all the twists, the location steals plenty of attention. The hyper-exclusive resort, complete with private beaches, impenetrable security, and sun-soaked landscapes, is every bit as captivating as the story itself.
The resort looks so lavish and impossibly pristine that viewers are now racing to uncover the real-life locations behind Netflix's dazzling getaway.

Forget fictional islands because Netflix found the real thing. According to Netflix, Oasis was filmed entirely in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, with cameras rolling between July and November. The island delivered postcard-worthy beaches, volcanic coastlines, and luxury hideaways that effortlessly doubled as the exclusive Oasis Infinity resort. The glamorous resort may look like a billionaire's private playground, but it is a clever blend of carefully chosen locations.
Executive producer Gema R. Neira and Bambú Producciones wanted a destination that felt lavish yet isolated. Upscale coastal properties, sprawling private beaches, and maze-like hotel complexes helped transform Tenerife into a fortress where paradise and paranoia comfortably coexist.
As per Netflix, not everything viewers admired existed under the Canary Islands sun. While the sweeping pools, coastlines, and ocean views are authentic Tenerife locations, several interior spaces, including staff quarters and investigation rooms, were purpose-built on soundstages, courtesy of the local location services company, Locationow. The combination gave filmmakers complete freedom to stage the series' intricate mystery without sacrificing visual grandeur.
The production considered mainland Spain, then wisely chose the island that looked incapable of taking a bad photograph. Tenerife offered dramatic volcanic scenery, reliable weather, and practical financial incentives in equal measure. Sometimes the smartest production decision also happens to be the prettiest one on screen.
While Oasis boasts scenery as spectacular as Masters of the Universe's, the breathtaking backdrops are only part of its appeal.
What makes Oasis so appealing?
The stunning Tenerife backdrop may have caught viewers' attention first, but Oasis has given them plenty of reasons to stay. Ana Garcés leads the mystery with a compelling performance as Helena, joined by rising talents Tomy Aguilera and Blas Polidori. Together, the ensemble keeps every betrayal, disappearance, and shocking revelation emotionally charged rather than merely suspenseful.

The series also benefits from Bambú Producciones' proven flair for polished thrillers packed with twists. The central disappearance inside a supposedly impenetrable luxury resort keeps the suspense moving at a brisk pace, making each episode easy to devour. By the time the credits roll, the breathtaking filming locations feel like just one more irresistible reason to press play.
